Overview   Hoichoi is an upcoming video on demand platform specifically catering to the 256 million Bengalis worldwide, by offering 360 degrees of entertainment: Movies, Original Web Series, Documentaries, Short Films and Music.   Hoichoi is seeded by SVF Entertainment - a leading Media and Entertainment company in East India, with 5 National Awards to its credit, and capabilities in Film and TV Production, Cinemas, Distribution, Digital Cinema, Music and New Media.  As we are growing quickly we are on the lookout for passionate and talented people to join a team of Rockstars committed to redefining online entertainment for Bengalis globally.  The Opportunity  The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for Hoichoi's technical vision and leading all aspects of the company's technology development according to its strategic direction and growth objectives.  - Design and manage the execution of technology strategy for the OTT/VOD platform and external relationships including but not limited to Web, Mobile app, CMS; CRM; Transcoding, Encoding, Streaming, Qoe, QoS, STB, and CDN Infrastructure.  - Align the platform's business objectives and strategy by building organizational capability, appropriate technology planning, service development and operations management.  - Build and manage an expert technology team + external partners to oversee the platforms development, storage management, delivery network, uptime availability and maintenance.  - Serve as a catalyst and facilitator of a collaborative development process for the Platform, ensuring the successful launches of current and new offerings as well as successful integrations and deployments  - Anticipate and react to major technology changes in the Video Streaming space to ensure the maintenance of company leadership in the competitive landscape.  - Establish technical standards and ensure adherence to them for product development and company operations.  - Responsible for a yearly budget regarding the operation and implementation of the OTT infrastructure and services .  - Drive the platforms engineering, OTT platform architecture (responsible for creating development strategy & roadmaps), IT Governance including partner management and managing IT budgets.  - Work closely with product, marketing, strategy and programming to establish plans and execute them to achieve short term and long term business objectives.  - Provide direction and support to the IT team to ensure alignment to Hoichoi's goals/strategy, as well as maintaining consistency to the internal philosophy and approach  Qualification & Skills  - 10+ years senior leadership in information technology within a complex organisation, with 5 years experience in Video Streaming technologies, CMS or Web & Mobile App development.  - Good understanding of SaaS Platform, Self service, software architecture and Data center infrastructure. Experience with Cloud Services (ideally worked with Amazon AWS, Hyprid-models), private cloud  - Working knowledge of media compression, protection and delivery, databases, web services, popular languages (Python, JavaScript, C#, Swift, Java, HTML5, JSON, XML, etc) and tools that automate the process of software delivery and infrastructure changes.  - Demonstrated success delivering business value through innovative and analytical, problem solving techniques.  - Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps.   - Proven leadership ability, organizing skills, an obsession for quality.
