At Hindustan Times we are working to make news better, and we need your help to build news products for mobile, desktop, and social applications that cut through the clutter and confusion of the digital marketplace.

We are looking for a senior product manager to take charge of the development of HindustanTimes.com, and a growing suite of mobile apps. Working with editors, developers, and the business team, you will be responsible for improving our existing products and building new ones that prioritise user experience to drive audience growth and engagement.

If you think it is possible to put users first while growing revenues, if you hate a slow, cluttered, and confusing news site, if you love great journalism, great design, and great code, this may be the job for you.

Here's what we will expect you to do :

- Manage the development and deployment of products across the Hindustan Times portfolio.

- Put the user at the centre of our universe.

- Manage new features from specification to final release and ongoing iteration.

- Work with the business and editorial teams to build and implement audience strategies

- Work with the editorial and business teams to ensure that technical solutions mesh tightly with the content and revenue strategy, and that UX/UI choices are optimal.

- Build and maintain product roadmaps, requirements, and user flows

We are looking for someone with 4 to 7 years of experience. A news background is not necessary, but a strong understanding of content is critical, and you need to care about the news.

Candidates from media, e-commerce, and social or community are likely to be particularly relevant.

You should be willing to help create a start-up culture inside a large company, using agile methodologies, customer feedback, and data, as well as your excellent communication skills to drive the creation of India's most compelling suite of news products.
