Engineering Manager, Android  Hike is looking to hire a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead some of our major projects and also manage and lead a team of engineers.  As an Engineering Manager, Android, you manage your project goals, contribute to product strategy and help develop and influence the organization in a deeper sense. You work on the full stack and own several major feature tracks /of Hike's Android systems. You work with multiple cross-functional teams such as product, design, customer intelligence, marketing, and many more.  What you'll do  - Lead and mentor a team of engineers, including tech leads and managers.  - Develop and launch new products and enhance existing Android applications as per desired specifications.  - Ensure the team delivers with high quality and predictability.  - Partner with product and design teams in developing product vision and roadmap.  - Contribute to creating a high performance culture and an excellent work environment.  - Design and review code, troubleshoot and act as an SME on technical matters.  - Lead and direct architectures that are sufficiently flexible and adaptable to meet market emerging requirements.  - Work and lead along an agile development framework.  - Contribute to raising the bar on talent by setting the highest standards on talent that we acquire and play a crucial role in acquiring, developing and retaining that talent.  What we're looking for  - Degree: Masters/ PhD in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent education.  - Experience in a management, engineering and technology strategy role.  - Experienced in building large-scale android specific application development  - In-depth experience on Java application development with extensive use of Java I/O, collections, algorithms % well-known application frameworks.  - In-depth understanding of OO concepts and design.  - Experience working with product teams.  Our Mission  Hike's mission is to reimagine messaging as 1 billion people come online on mobile devices that are faster and more powerful than the first set of PC's.
