Our client is one of the most successful India dedicated Hedge Funds and has invested exclusively in Indian public equities since 1994. They focus intensively on fundamental research to identify long-term investments among companies. Endowments, foundations and family offices represent the majority of the fund's capital. This is not an offshoring role and it involves active fund management focused on public markets in India. They are looking to hire an Associate in their Mumbai office to predominantly hold the following job responsibilities:  Responsibilities :  Factor Analysis : Identify factors that drive stock performance / asset class performance  Investment Strategies : Develop robust and differentiated multi factor investment strategies  Allocation Strategies : Develop allocation strategies to build portfolios that meet product objectives  - Conduct extensive company and industry due diligence  - Analyse financial statements and create detailed financial modelling  - Preparation of memos and information for investment committee  - Intensive tracking of sector deals and developments  - Keeping abreast with important news, regulatory changes and macro environmental factors  - Conducting industry research to identify industries that the fund should focus on.  General Qualifications :  Key attributes of the successful candidates would be :   - 1-3 years of relevant professional experience; Private Equity/ Investment Banking  - Experience is strongly preferred   - High academic credentials  - High degree of proficiency at financial modelling  - High degree of proficiency in analyzing financial statements   - Excellent verbal and written communication  - Attention to detail  - Proficient at making presentations and memos  - Analysing quantitative and qualitative data  - High energy and positive attitude  - Ability to work independently and also closely with other team members
