Health Actuarial Role - Health Insurance Domain

Position Summary :

- The resource would be a key member of the Actuarial Services team and would work in close collaboration with other teams.

- Play a critical role in setting up Health Actuarial support platform servicing various Group entities by adapting to new tools & technologies such as Emblem, use of GLMs, etc., in the Health space and assisting in market research for new business opportunities

- Fortify existing Actuarial practice supporting globally where the Client has a presence across Health domains

Key Accountabilities :

- Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming them into a solution framework

- Work and deliver on modeling support for pricing, reserving, data analytics, trend analytics, etc.

- Work on different health insurance engagements as per client's requirements

- Independently analyze project requirements to own and deliver pilot projects / initiatives with very high quality to establish support credibility with the client's entities

- Become a trusted partner for the client's entities - engage for capability showcase including visiting entities for opportunity assessment, discussions and piloting solutions

- Resolving client queries effectively and troubleshoot data issues immediately

- Understanding business problems and translate the business information into dynamic and effective reports or dashboards to generate meaningful business insights

Position Related Experience :

- Student Member of Actuarial Society (India/UK/SOA)

- 8-15 years of work experience in Health Insurance in Actuarial domain, specific to pricing, valuation, etc.

- Should be in a position to provide technical guidance to the health insurance team and be able to resolve any issues that arise so that deliverables are met

- Knowledge of healthcare domain, health data & claims, is required

Technical Experience :

- Excellent understanding of Actuarial & Statistical techniques and pricing methodologies / tools, e.g., GLM

- Working knowledge of database / statistical analysis language such as SAS / SQL

- Working knowledge and experience with developing MS Excel, VBA, and Access based tools for data reporting and analytics

- Knowledge of trend analytics and projection techniques

- Knowledge of product development and valuation will be an added advantage

- Awareness of recent industry developments in Health Actuarial domain

- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills

- Ability to work on multiple projects at a time

- Ability to work in an international environment

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different geographies
