Looking for Trading & Investment Head for an International Media Agency Group in Singapore;
Job Description:
The role is to lead local trading function covering all Group agencies and to effectively represent the company in the local market (Singapore).
Under the trading head role, this person will mainly lead trading Investment & Innovation streams in Singapore. Additionally, this person will also support global Intelligence team through local data input/validation.
Pitch Management
Lead all buying pitches or buying part of full pitches for all local pitches along with the local pitch team & local part of regional/global pitches along with the regional team
Create winning buying proposals/submissions through smart data analysis, market intelligence, robust benchmarking, rigorous optimizations & speculative negotiations
Liaising with clients/auditors directly for local pitches & with regional team for regional pitches
Client buying performance accountability
Responsible for managing client buying performance accountability function across key local & regional clients in Singapore (where ever applicable) which involves contribution in setting up buying performance targets, helping core client teams to achieve the buying performance targets, tracking & reporting to the local clients directly & to regional team in case of regional accountability clients (as applicable).
Maximize on the incentives potential associated with achieving & exceeding the buying performance targets (Incentives against Savings, Pricing, Value management or any other buying performance metric) & AVOID PENALTIES associated with not achieving the buying performance targets (if applicable)
Provide effective support in case of auditor's involvement in the process - Liaise with auditors directly in case of local clients & with regional team for regional clients
Trading Commerce
Maximize trading income in various areas within company compliant policies
Influence other trading divisions
Programmatic trading (Cadreon): Provide support to programmatic trading division (Cadreon) through efficiency solutions for clients and negotiations (Programmatic-direct deals, Private market places, Data & technology partnerships etc)
Barter trading (Orion): Provide support to barter trading division (Orion) to set up & grow through collaborative partnership
Liaise directly & regularly with local CFO in growing trading income, provide data due diligence before revenue reporting & ensure compliance through guidance from CFO
Media owner deals & relationship management
Negotiate & manage all agency group level deals (Rates/AVBs/EPDs/Other commercial terms)
Negotiate & manage key client deals or support the client teams through guidance & clout with media owners
Effectively manage senior level media owner relationship for the agency. Be the power centre
Data management
Creation and management of pricing benchmarks in the market (through internal & external data)
Support the company's Global Intelligence data collection & validation process and create local intelligence to achieve thought leadership in media buying/trading in the market
Qualifications & Work Experience
Management / Mass communication degree preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in an International media agency in planning & planning led buying function, negotiation & optimization.
Prior experience in Buying/Trading would be preferable
Good communication skill in English (Written & spoken)
