Head - Third Party Logistics - eCommerce

Urgently looking for a Leading Online shopping portal

Job Profile:

- Provide Leadership, direction and spearhead 3PL operations of company.

- Define and track key metrics pertaining to 3PL operations.

- Responsible for constant performance review of delivery partners based on cost, speed and accuracy and taking quick decisions to align end objective of customer delight.

- Strongly focus towards customer expectations, continuously assess customer needs with respect to 3PL last mile delivery and drive the strategy to achieve customer delight.

- Create a strategic vision to continuously increase 3PL reach by on-boarding new 3rd party logistics partners or by exploring new delivery models.

- Carry out rate negotiations with 3PL vendors to bring down cost and do effective Contract Management to ensure desired service levels

- Work closely with Technology/Integration team to build strong technology/System/Processes for 3rd party logistics.

- Develop, Mentor and motivate the team spread across locations to achieve higher goals.

- Work closely with Enabling/Business Partners like HR, F&I, IT, Finance & Accounts, Operations Excellence with respect to 3PL.

Minimum requirements, Skills and Knowledge:

- Experience in handling franchisees in logistics/courier industry through remote management of operations

- Good vendor management skills

- Strong negotiation skills; Rate negotiations

- Responsible for review and signing off of new/amended Service Contracts for 3PL partners that incorporate all relevant service and cost criteria

- Excellent communication skills

- Develop, mentor and motivate the team to achieve organisational continuity and expertise.

- Financial budgeting & execution - PNL accountability of 3PL operations.

- Leading the development, implementation and operationalization of effective solutions using 3PL vendors for various new initiatives.

- Responsible for org plan, vendor evaluation, controlling costs and achievement of required service levels for 3PL operations.

- Very high customer orientation

- Responsible for building expertise relating to 3PL capabilities, including opportunities to enhance or modify processes, procedures or timelines or for dedicated service to specific categories or customer needs

- Responsible for strategic projects that include 3PL partner. Evaluate vendor capabilities (performance, costs, stability etc).

- Work closely with Fulfillment Center, Procurement, Retail and Marketplace teams to ensure relevant sharing of information and agreement on actions and with Engineering & Technology/ IT teams to build strong technology/System/Processes for 3PL Operations.

- Build a culture of ownership and empowerment.

- Graduate / Post Graduate with 12 to 15 years of experience in courier /logistics industry preferred.
