Looking for Head Supply Chain for our FMCG client based at Nairobi Kenya (East Africa) .  - The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree (specialized in Supply Chain / Operations)/MBA from Premier Institute 2008 passout .  - 6+ years of relevant experience within FMCG / Manufacturing industry. Africa experience will be added advantage (not mandatory)  - The incumbent should be strong on business orientation, execution, managed change projects and well developed ability in influencing senior business leaders.  Key Relationships:  - This role has principal reporting to the CEO and also functional reporting to VP - International Supply Chain.  - The incumbent will work closely with relevant teams and functions from companies in India & Africa.  Principal Accountabilities:  - Defining and implementing processes for efficient SCM (S&OP, IT processes, and infrastructure).  - Identify and execute cost reduction projects and process improvements (six sigma, Lean, Low cost automation).  - Efficiently manage manufacturing /logistics /planning / procurement/ inventory management in East Africa to ensure product availability.  - Drive continuous improvement of supply chain performance for East Africa business using market data and best in class supply chain practices.  - Own and drive key performance indicators for supply chain (such as on time delivery, cost, service levels).  - Support expansion of distribution network for better availability.  - Domestic and Export order management - Planning and fulfillment.  - To make new products available for launch as per annual growth plan.  - To implement ERP (package : Microsoft Dynamics AX) for Supply Chain Module in Kenya and Nigeria.  - To control Procurement & Strategic Sourcing function for East Africa Business  Would like to first share few facts about Africa:   As the African Progress panel has outlined in a recent policy paper, Africa - Investment Ready, rapid change in the last decade has turned Africa into a region ripe with opportunities for investors willing to participate in, as well as profit from, the continent's development.
