Preferred Skills : Strong Commodity sourcing background in grains and cereals with leadership skills

Qualifications : Agri + MBA

Work Experience : 15 years+

- To strengthen the sourcing strategy, create and establish sourcing policy and process for the CPB business

Job Description :

- Preparation of procurement strategy and robust sourcing models for all Food products in CPB for the year and in the long term. Ensure execution and re-calibration as per the monthly market conditions and sales needs.

- Managing the sourcing team in HO and Field, meeting targets for procurement

- Develop an eco-system of Partner engagement programs for Sourcing

- Rationalize the inventory carrying requirements at each packing center to ensure cost savings

- Ensuring quality as against standards while procuring

- Mapping the regional preferences of products and providing the same to the category teams as an input

- Using the team members, to ensure coordination with Packing and Quality team to ensure that the product arrival is as per the packing schedules

- New product development depending on the opportunities and market requirements.

- Ability to analyze the volatility of each commodity especially in pulses and cereals, building scenarios and predictive models into decision making and ensuring lowest cost procurement for the specified quality of raw materials or FG

Role and Responsibilities :

Strategic :

- To develop robust sourcing models and strategy for all foods under CPB

- To identify and be part of the NPD process to launch foods with high quality of inputs

- To predict and model commodity prices for all key products

- To ensure inventory costs and risks are under check

- To forge new strategic partnerships at farm level with NGOs, Partners, FPOs etc.

Operational :

- To ensure forecasting of commodity prices, inventory positions and drive profitability

- Ensuring lowest possible cost of procurement for raw materials across commodities as per quality specs

- To ensure Quality Control above specifications in products

- To be able to put in processes and give dashboard based reporting on KPIs

- Ensuring competitive procurement cost facilitating the gross margin achievement for the category.

Essential : Should take sourcing decisions confidently, well networked, experience of handling tough volatile commodities, should be able to lead people.
