- Promote continuous innovation for development of new products in line with Business Strategy and changing Customer Requirements.

- Continually optimize the existing product range to meet Business objective of cost leadership.

- Establish/review systems & processes for Quality Assurance and ensure effective implementation to minimize product performance related customer complaints.

- Keep abreast of changing market/technology trends and identify opportunities for new product/application development.

- Work closely with the Manufacturing & Sales teams and lead the process for effective product trials and rapid commercialization.

- Prepare/update the R&D plans on an ongoing basis and provide relevant inputs for preparation of the annual budget with respect to new products / applications.

- Establish/review specifications for new/existing Raw Materials and keep the Product Technical Datasheets updated at all times.

- Lead the process for securing necessary approvals/certifications for the EP business and ensure timely renewals of the same.

- Establish/review systems & processes for handling of customer complaints and ensure effective implementation for prompt redressal of complaints

- Foster a work culture within the R&D team that promotes teamwork and motivates all employees to deliver their best in achieving business goals.

- Develop suitable training modules for technical up skilling of the Sales team with respect to new products/applications.

- Participate and contribute in various strategic/organization building projects.
