Head - Project Execution  Organisation : A leading real estate group  Primary Responsibility : Responsible for leading, directing and controlling the operations of the technical department, so as to achieve, or exceed, the company's objectives of time, cost, EHS and quality  Reporting Relationships :   - Reports to Promoter MD  - Reportees - Heads of Design Mgmt, Planning, Procurement & Contracting and Construction teams  Education/Experience/Mindsets and behaviours:   - Engineer or Master of Construction, Architecture holding Project Management Certificate awarded by reputable institutions  - 15+ years' experience in various aspects of construction especially civil construction, residential construction a big plus  - Delivered large scale multi asset projects greater than 1 million square feet with end to end responsibility  - Quick decision-making orientation  - Strong accountability mind-set and ability to work in a fast paced growing organization with lot of empowerment  - Global orientation on new means and methods for construction including form work technologies  Skills :  - Ability to manage, lead and motivate people  - Planning and strategy development skills  - Ability to manage conflicts between different departments  - Good communication, presentation and persuasion skills  - High level of responsibility, creativity and ability to withstand work pressure  - Very detailed knowledge of material, equipment, logistics, storage and security  - Ability to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors  - Keen eye for quality of construction and delivery  Responsibilities :   Overall :   - Overall accountability for outcomes set in the development business plans on all aspects of design and construction  - Translate the set objectives in the business plans into achievable project objectives and targets, ensure monitoring of targets to ensure timely, cost effective, high quality delivery while meeting EHS standards  Pre-project support :   - Provide technical advice during the project concept stage on design, general construct ability and overall affordability  - Oversee the planning of construction schedules, costing and all related inputs during the pre-project phase  - Ensure transition from concept drawings to construction drawing happens in a timely manner while still keeping costs within benchmarks and following all statutory guidelines and norms  Project Delivery :   - Responsible mainly for all construction related activities and pre-commissioning; tracking project in order to make sure that the project is executed in accordance with the QA/QC procedures  - Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors and consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan  - Responsible for setup and implementation of a cost control framework within the organization to formulate budgets, monitor actual cost against budget and commitments and prepare and present budget/cost forecasting reports to management  - Review and evaluate tenders and proposals to ensure that the right vendor and contractor are chosen with a focus on timeliness and cost control  - Review drawings and technical specifications for the purpose of identifying potential constructability issues, deviation from industry norms & standards, customer requirements and commitments to customers  - Establish quality procedures for execution and ensure implementation in spirit at site  - Ensure rigorous construction planning and monitoring (rolling plans and micro-plans in addition to Primavera plans) of all projects  - Oversee the development of transparent regular (at least monthly) project progress reports  - Review departmental processes regularly and redesign to plug gaps once identified and implement efficient, leading edge processes.  - Ensure safe practices are followed on projects to avoid any injury or casualty on site  People Development :   - Build strong and motivated subordinate teams by supporting direct reports in professional development; instructing and mentoring to develop required knowledge and skills for better performance and succession planning  - Delegate responsibility with accountability and establish effective procedures to enable continuous improvement and the growth of high performing teams and individuals  Salary: As per qualification & Experience
