Well Reputed Manufacturing Company is looking for Head Operations   Required Experience: Minimum 15 years, preferably in a continuous process manufacturing industry.  Required Qualification: Bachelor in Engineering. If a Post Graduate it would be an added advantage.  Reports to: Business Head   Reportees – All Unit Head  Location of Position – North / South (Any of the big cities)  JOB DESCRIPTION  Scope - The operations head will be overall heading all our existing Plants and upcoming -AAC Blocks, Panels and Hysil in locations across India - Golan,Chennai,Dharuhera,Timmapur and Jhajjar.   Role - His responsibility includes overall Operations (Production, Maintenance, IR , Project related activities ) for all the plants to produce the best quality product with optimum utilization of resources with the targeted time lines. Also would be responsible for any new project and expansion of existing plants. He will be required to liaison with other functions at the corporate level.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES  Overall responsible for all the plants –  - To analyze Plant MIS and actively lead initiatives for manufacturing excellence such as TPM, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.  - He would ensure that production, maintenance, quality & dispatch across plants is adhered to as per the target and guidelines with the support of Unit heads.  - Control cost by achieving budgeted production costs which include raw material, power & fuel, manpower and stores cost and minimize breakdown by proactive maintenance.  - He needs to coordinate with the projects and Engineering team to install and commission new equipment across plants.  - Estimate manning requirements and material resources across the plants.  - Effectively utilize the company resources by adopting various innovative ideas and to automate processes as much as possible to reduce the cost and also enhance the quality.  - Ensure optimal utilization of fuel by incorporating best practices in energy conservation.  - Look into elimination of reworking, minimize rejects and wastages.  - Ensure all statutory and health and safety guidelines are followed.   - Responsible for Coaching, feedback and development of Subordinates.  - To manage operations budget and also co ordinate with plant heads for MIS Planning.  - Relate with the R&D and Sales team to proactively look at alternatives to reduce cost and enhance quality.  - To ensure work environment is conducive for achieving organizational objectives.   KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:   - Strong Leadership Skills – Excellent track-record in heading large and multiple location manufacturing units  - Exemplary integrity and work ethics  - High emotional intelligence (EI)   - Proactive, innovative and analytical in approach  - Knowledge of established as well as leading-edge tools and concepts in manufacturing like TPM, 5S, Kaizen, Six sigma etc.  - Good communication skills  - Good understanding of labour laws, environmental norms/applications.  Interesting!!!
