About our Client - Our client is one of the leading European Apparel retail companies with an impressive range of products. They are globally renowned for their constant innovation and unique designs. They have a strong vendor base across the Indian Subcontinent, and are currently looking to recruit a Head of Operations, based out of their Sourcing Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Job Description - Reporting to the Country Manager, you will be responsible for :

Production :

- Liaise with suppliers to define and implement a robust plan for production (based on company guidelines).

- Ensure capacity planning at the supplier level.

- Liaise with HQ to ensure timely launch and implementation of production plans.

Logistics :

- Define and implement the logistics plan for the local market (including shipments).

- Work closely with the quality team to ensure compliance to company standards.

Merchandising :

- Liaise with marketing on all aspects of product development/merchandising.

- Ensuring an adequate and consistent level of quality as per company standards.

- Work closely with the Country Manager on issues pertaining to sourcing, quality and pricing.

- Further, you will be managing a team of about 8 to 9 people (across teams/functions), and will be responsible for their growth and development within the organization.

The Successful Candidate :

- You will be a post graduate (degree in apparel/textiles preferred) with around 5 years of experience in the apparel/textile industry.

- Further, the client is ideally looking for European/US Nationals with the experience of working in the Asian Market.

- You will have a hands on experience in functions like Sourcing/Production/Merchandising/Operations. The client is looking for someone with excellent communication/interpersonal skills, and a team management experience.
