Role Summary:
- Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the Organization’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.
- Oversee development and implementation of support materials and services in the area of marketing, communications and public relations.
- Directs the efforts of the marketing, communications and public relations staff and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the Organization.
- Manages brand and direct activities to protect and promote its value.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Marketing:
- Responsible for the marketing of company products to the right market whether B2B or B2C
- Provide the planning and leadership to the Marketing Department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan.
- Assume overall responsibility for developing the annual marketing plan for the organisation; for strategic market planning; market research programmes; field force activities, and control of the marketing budget.
- Prepare new product marketing plans for product introductions in cooperation with Product Managers.
- Develop and direct measurable multi-channel, cross-channel, channel-specific, product, promotional, and cause-related marketing programs that tie back to brand strategy and business goals.
- Employ a variety of communications tools: print advertising, public relations, visual merchandising, direct marketing, strategic partnerships, events marketing, on-line, viral marketing, cause-related, local/community initiatives.
- Ensure product relevance to timing, Big Ideas and Merchandising Point-of-view.
