Head Logistics (15-20 yrs)

The incumbent we are looking for should be a Graduate in Engineering/Science preferably with a Masters in Logistics/Business Management with considerable experience of about 15 to 20 years in Logistics Management in handling responsibilities in a similar complex manufacturing environment such as cement, petro-chemicals, major transportation, logistic / warehousing organization.

- Hands on experience in logistics management/ handling exports and imports, knowledge of documentation and procedures, understanding of taxation, safety and legal aspects and negotiation with vendors etc., knowledge in SAP System is also desirable.

The following are the key deliverables of the role :

- Smooth operation of logistics activities and remove any bottleneck owing to increased activity

- Debottleneck logistics infrastructure at Plants, roads, parking, loading and unloading points

- Deliver best and competitive cost structure of each activity

- Build and measure performance against desired matrix

- Deliver On-time in full (OTIF) as per industry standards

- Co-ordination with Production, Marketing, Finance and Procurement. JNPT tank terminal clearing agents, surveyors, customs and other external agencies.

Relevant and Total Years of Experience :

- Total industry experience 15 to 20 years in Logistics Management in Handling responsibilities in a similar complex manufacturing environment such as cement, petro-chemicals, major transportation, logistic / warehousing organization

Technical / Functional Expertise :

- Hands on experience in logistics / handling exports imports knowledge of documentation and procedures taxation knowledge / safety and legal aspects and negotiation with vendors etc., knowledge in SAP System
