We are hiring for a leading Indian FMCG organisation based in Mumbai for the role of :  Position : Head - Brand Protection Cell  Location : Mumbai  Job responsibilities:  - Working for this global brand, you will be the principle point of contact for all matters involving Intellectual Property (IP) Rights Infringements and copyright theft.   - Responsibility for evidence led Investigations and Investigatory procedures relating to Intellectual Property Infringements and Copyright theft.  Needs to Do:  Policy:  - Establish a comprehensive Intellectual Property infringements policy and strategy to minimize any losses.  - Communicate the policies, strategies and target expectations to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders  Investigations:  - Conduct and evaluate Intellectual Property crime risks and maintain intelligence led database of all crime patterns against the business. This is to include visits to retail outlets and markets.  - Conduct cost effective evidence-led investigations into Intellectual Property Crime against the business.  - Use appropriate investigative technologies and processes to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Produce written statements and reports for evidence purposes.  - Attend court to give evidence when necessary.  - Work with the Intellectual Property legal team to establish a legal framework and best practice to follow for the successful prosecution of copyright infringement offenders.  - Manage any customer, outside agency inquiries relating to Intellectual Property infringements.  - Able to travel and investigate Intellectual Property crime  - To be able to handle informants and deal with the relevant intelligence globally.  Training:  - Produce maintain and deliver an educational and training awareness programme for all staff.   - This should include and illustrate the impact of Intellectual Property crime, the potential health and safety risks with fake products and the associated links to other criminality.   - Carry out training where required with outside agencies and other businesses.   - Produce and manage a brand protection advisory booklet.  Communication:  - Establish and produce communication guidelines that relate to policies.   - Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with the relevant law enforcement agencies, trading standards, customs and other supporting agencies and organizations.   - Manage a network of support and coordination between the business and other victims of Intellectual Property crime.  - Have regular meetings and inspection visits to manufacturers, distributors and partners.   - Attend road-shows, trade fares and other focus groups dealing with Intellectual Property issues.   - Have a good and close working relationship with the Intellectual Property Office and the Intellectual Property Crime Group.  Brand protection systems:   - Manage a unique identification labeling and other systems or products to reduce Intellectual Property crime.
