We have an opportunity as a Head Internal Audit based at Lagos, Nigeria. Co is approx 2000 crs turnover company in the business of beverages and PET Preforms at Nigeria.   Job Profile :  Ensure adherence to laid down internal controls of the company on matters relating to cash, purchases, stock-in-trade, assets and liabilities, and corporate governance.  - Prepare annual audit plans for the group companies.  - Conduct periodic Systems Audit, Operations Audit, Management Audit as well as Concurrent Audit.  - Develop and audit implementation of Policies and Procedures.  - Regular review of Systems & Controls and recommend changes, where necessary.  - Carry out important assignments directly and routine jobs through other Audit Officers / Audit assistants.  - Conduct surprise audit / investigations as required by management.  - Pre-audit of payments above certain limits as established from time to time.  - Audit certification of financial approval requests.  - Audit review of statutory payments to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.  - Finalise / Sign all Internal Audit Reports.  - Co-ordinate with Business Unit Heads for their comments and responses on the above before submitting final reports to Chairman with recommendations.  - Monitor implementation of recommendations.  - Assist Group with audit assignments of other offices in UK, India, South Africa, Ghana etc - as and when required.  - Suggest effective systems and / or changes in system based on experience gained during audit work.  - Participate in various Management Committee meeting deliberations and suggest ways / provide inputs to improve relevant areas.  - Effectively respond to Statutory Audit remarks.  - Suggest effective Internal Control Systems.   We are looking for a CA with min 12 years of post qlf experience.  Previous experience of working at group level at a senior position in the hierarchy.  Additional qualification in IFRS
