Designation:Head of Insurance Delivery  Department: Insurance  Location: Chennai, India  Key relationships: Direct reports: Service delivery managers (onshore and offshore); Service support and change management team. Cross-functional: IT application development and management; infrastructure management; India-based enabling and support functions. Role will also require significant interaction with onshore-based colleagues and, from time to time, with Clients  Role Description: This position will report into the Global Insurance Delivery lead. Operations responsibility for Insurance delivery with around 400 FTE.  Details on the Type of insurance operations  Insurance delivery falls into two principal categories: pure-play BPO services for (currently and principally) US-based property & casualty insurance companies and platform-based service delivery for UK-based, FCA-regulated life & pensions companies. The operating model is based on providing services seamlessly from both onshore (customer contact and complex process) and offshore (bulk process activities) locations. A key priority of the role is to enable a higher proportion of the total servicing life cycle to be carried out offshore and to enhance the level of automation within the processes, including adoption of RPA.  Skill sets required:  - 15 years + operational management experience  - Track record for delivering process improvements and transformation, including offshoring of complex processes  - First-hand experience of RPA a strong advantage  - Onshore / offshore operating structure, including responsibility for managing significant teams based outside India (preferably UK or US)  - Complex process background, preferably including accounting / financial processes. Life & pensions or MLTS sector experience highly desirable, though not essential.  - Ability to manage both service delivery and change / transformation roles and to have significant input to setting priorities for IT development and delivery activities  - Ability to work in matrix / dotted line structure  - Strong communication and influencing skills,including track record in applying these in a multi-national situation  - Personal flexibility and willingness to travel at short notice  - Candidate needs to be credible both to the UK FCA (the role might require Approved Person status) and to Clients.
