At present our client, a corporation among the top Indian IT companies, is a global provider of consulting, IT services, and outsourced R&D, infrastructure outsourcing and business process services requires Head of Function- HR with 14-18 Yrs experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Head of Function- HR

Job Description

This position is part of the larger HR team of our client and reports directly to the VP & Global Head of the HR. He/she is a key member of HR Leadership team and will lead assessing, identifying, planning and directing training, learning initiatives and build competency development for our client across its business towers.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Articulate, Drive & Manage all HR lifecycle Processes within the Service Line

- Partnering with business leaders for all employee related initiatives

- Leading HR Generalist activities for employees spread across the locations

- Ensuring excellence in service delivery, for HR processes i.e. performance appraisal, Annual rewards and recognition etc. Managing Service level agreements. Employee advocacy and grievance handling.

- Design and implement talent management and retention activities

- Strategize different methods to increase talent retention rate

- Proactively lead Employee Engagement activities in the Vertical

- Develop succession for key leadership through an optimum blend of internal and external talent

- Drive external and global HR best practices

Education and Experience:

- Two years Full time MBA (HR) and 15+ years of exp in HR

- Good hands-on knowledge and appreciation of HR processes, policies and sub systems. Exposure to Line HR role would be considered as an added advantage.

- Good communication skills and leadership qualities.

- Customer orientation - understanding the true need of the customer and then working out the solutions.

- Ability to interact confidently with Senior Leadership.

- Display sustained energy and determination in the face of obstacles to set and meet challenging targets

- Ability to work in diverse teams

- Interpersonal sensitivity; ability to relate to individuals and develop sustained working relationships is key.

Qualifications:

Education: Full time MBA degree in HR, Business or related field

EXPERIENCE:

- A minimum of 8+years experience. Experience in Organization Development, Talent Management and Learning area.

SKILLS:

- A self-initiating, independent thinker with proven experience in planning, launching, monitoring and acting on long-range business initiatives that look beyond the present state of the business and focus on major long term change.

- Successful track record of leading a function that yielded measurable, positive performance and business outcomes; ability to design, implement and execute plans, programs and initiatives across a complex organization.

- Experience of working with senior leadership teams on business critical initiatives.

- Experienced in working with global organizations or across regions.

- Approachable individual able to influence, coach, and develop senior leaders, peers and subordinates.

- Integrity and demonstrated commitment and dedication to the highest quality of professional work and service to clients.

- Able to make quick, but well thought-out decisions based upon an assessment of a few key facts; possess a highly pragmatic style.

- Ability to instill and communicate a vision; mobilizing commitment to change; ability to think and act strategically to monitor progress toward and to reach business goals; ability to decisively take action and make corrective changes when necessary.

- Sufficiently task-driven and able to focus to get results in limited timeframes, under conditions of changing priorities and multiple constituents.
