Position: AVP/VP Qualitative Research

Company: A mid size global Market Research firm

Location: Delhi

Job description:

- Looking or a strong leader with exceptional Qualitative research experience

- This person will be key member of Qualitative research team and will be responsible for the design, execution and reporting of research qualitative research findings, as well as developing new business

- Experienced in leading, managing, mentoring and motivating a team of 10-14 people

- You will be working closely with leading companies, applying insight to devise and maintain innovation, marketing and corporate communications strategies.

- Mentoring colleagues, encouraging the highest levels of performance

- Client Management - develop, maintain and grow strong relationships with key clients in order to achieve preferred supplier status by becoming a trusted advisor

- Business Development - create and foster new client relationships

- Assisting in Strategy Development and ongoing plans to maintain and develop business within key opportunity areas.

- Develop and execute qualitative research programs independently and synergistically with team members.

- Conduct research from design through analysis and final insights and recommendations

- Manage revenue and gross profit objectives; monitor project costs as they relate to budgets, targets and planning and directing the provision of research services to clients.

- Provide input into product development and methodological innovation to continue to build on company's reputation as a thought-leader in the qualitative arena

- Accountable for managing business units with P&L, revenue building, operational efficiency and business development responsibilities

- Client management /project management to ensure the team stays on track both deliverables and timelines wise

Experience

- The ideal candidate is an accomplished MR professional with Expertise in and passion for conducting qualitative market research

- You must have a clear understanding of the qualitative research environment and a superior track record in growing and developing business

- This is an excellent opportunity that will focus on expanding and growing existing and newly established accounts

- Post secondary degree is required (prefer sociology, anthropology, psychology), or equivalent work experience.

- A total of 12+yrs of experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior qualitative role

- Must have experience moderating focus groups and conducting in-depth interviews.

- Experience working with marketing teams, in areas including but not limited to CPG, Financial Services, Automotive, Media, etc., on either client or supplier side.

- A passion for learning and implementing new techniques; a vision for positive change.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; strong analytical skills and business acumen.

- Strong consultative client relationship management (ideally with an established client base); business development and selling skills - able to build strong and influencing relationship with client decision makers.

- High caliber of oral (presenting) and writing skills.

- A self starter, you are comfortable working independently or part of a team. Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

- Must be flexible to travel and conduct groups and interviews outside regular business hours.
