Head - Fund Accounting - CA - BFSI  Location: Middle East  Job Description:  This is an opportunity for you to be part of a well-established large organization offering an exciting career path in heading the Fund Accounting, MIS & data analytics division of a multibillion dollar investment office.  Responsibilities:  - As head of the Fund accounting team you will be leading the accounting efforts for Alternative investment funds and public funds with strong focus on private equity funds, private debt funds, real estate funds, hedge funds, Public mutual funds, bond portfolio and debt funds  - Preparation of regular MIS reports, data analytics, updating the firm's ERP etc. Fully responsible on the accounting, fund analytics and reporting to the investment team and investment committee  - Making cash flow estimates, managing the firm's liquid cash and oversee the cash movement and its frequency  - Keeping a track of our currency exposure and hedging the same  - Responsible for maintaining accounting records of investment portfolios structured as partnerships, trusts, separately managed accounts and/or collateralized debt instruments ('Funds').  - To prepare P&L statement on a semi-annual basis  - Will be responsible to respond to inquiries from investment team and investment committee, for tasks such as trade input, income postings, asset and cash reconciliations, and wires.  - Minimize an investment portfolio's daily expenses  - Supervise the work of more junior members of the team and ensure timely delivery  Essential Skills  - Knowledge of Alternative assets, public investments and accounting principles  - Work experience in the fund accounting industry  - Aware of the regulatory and accounting principles and practices  - Maintain ethical standards while dealing with the funds and clients  - Manage and handle high stressed and risky work environment  - Keen eye to details and good presentation skills  - Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Profile:  - 6-12 Years- experience in a fund of fund or institution or family office in fund accounting  - Exposure to international markets (preferably developed markets - US & Europe)  - CA (1st attempt rank holder with Big 4 Articles) plus CFA/FRM/ACS.  Compensation:  Designed to attract and retain the best talent in the industry.
