Position: Head of Finance  Location: Coimbatore  Reporting to : Director (reporting to the ECT platform VP finance in France)  Team Size: Currently 125-150(ramp up to 300 by next year)  Tamil language proficiency is must  Manufacturing + IT experience is mandatory  POSITION SUMMARY :   - A key member of the steering committee for our organization India operations, to help drive financial and operational performance and continuous Improvement.  - Responsible for the integrity of the monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, filings, tax  - Returns and forecasts and internal controls for our ECT Indian operations (Coimbatore & Cochin).  - Will lead the Organization Indian finance and company secretarial team.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :   - Responsible for compliance with Company's financial standards, policies and applicable regulations such as US GAAP, Indian GAAP and laws such as the UK Bribery Act.  - Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into The organization's plans and operating budgets  - Responsible for internal controls and accounting policies, procedures and processes.  - Accurate financial reporting for organization branch to local and US GAAP.  - Adequate and appropriate forecasts, budgets and strategic plans for organizations branch activities in Coimbatore and Cochin.  - Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all internal/external audits. Management of the organizations Finance Team (approximately 5 persons) and the Company Secretary.  - Provide advice and recommendations (not just limited to financial) to help the local and HQ  - Teams make the right business decisions.  - Ensure the correct finance and business justifications for investments to consider in India (CER process)  - Ensure the correct level of review of contracts and legal issues in liaison with the Companys  - France legal function.  - Responsible for tax compliance.  EXPECTATIONS IN THE FIRST 12 MONTHS :   - Will improve tax and excise compliance.  - Will strongly improve Internal Controls particularly as regards cash transactions.  - Will plan the future state of the finance department which will probably involve moving it to Coimbatore.  RELATIONSHIPS :   - Reports directly to the Company's Director. Has strong dotted line reporting to the ECT Platform VP Finance in France.  - Will work closely with members of the Indian corporate team in Bangalore.  - Will work closely with other members of the French finance, legal and operations teams.   - Will have members of the Coimbatore and Cochin finance function report directly to this position.  - Will work closely with other senior and mid-level managers in Coimbatore and Cochin. Will be expected to visit the site in Cochin regularly.  - Will work closely with his counterpart in other ECT BUs in France and US in order to share best practices, to facilitate decisions in case of activity transfers and transfer pricing.  MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE :   - Contribution as part of the organizations management team to improve processes, performance and compliance.  - Timely and accurate financial and management reporting to deadlines set by Company's HQ.  - Timely and accurate budgeting and forecasting to deadlines set by Company's HQ.  - Timely and accurate filing of all corporate legal requirements.  - Timely and accurate fining of all tax returns.  - Concise and coherent written and verbal communication and analysis of the financials that helps HQ and local management understand the main business drivers, results, deviation from plan and delta with the previous year.  - Maintenance of the highest ethical standards.  - Working as a team player to drive results.  EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS TO BE USED :  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel), ERP software & payroll/accounting management systems  EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES :  - Must have a bachelor's degree in commerce and Chartered accountant. Other accounting qualification (ACA, FCA, ACCA, and CIMA) will be an added advantage.  - Minimum 14 years- experience in financial roles mainly within manufacturing industry is essential.  - Must show good relevant career progression or have operated successfully in a similar role.  - Must be able to demonstrate that they have added value to the business in previous roles.  - We are looking for a high energy dynamic individual to help us transform the finance department and add value to the business.  - Must be highly ethical.  - Prior experience of working in a global multinational company is a must. Good understanding of the intercultural differences working experience with France and US entities)  SKILL AND EXPERIENCE :  - Requires technical accounting skills particularly as regards a good understanding of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.  - Understanding and hands on experience of ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.   - Broad knowledge of Indian direct and indirect taxes for companies.  - Must be able to have demonstrated strong analytical skills in a previous role.  - Must be able to have demonstrated strong verbal, writing and presentation skills in a previous role.  - Must have demonstrated strong staff management skills in a previous role.  - Must have demonstrated strong team skills such as tact, sensitivity, respect, tenacity, persuasiveness and decisiveness in a previous role.  - Experience of working within a multi-national company environment would be a definite advantage.
