Head - Engineering - Travel Startup - IIT/NIT/BITS

Must have :

1) 5+ years of hands on experience building web based products and APIs

2) Experience mentoring a team of engineers; Managing a team of their own is a bonus

3) Knowledge of: LAMP stack, MVC architecture, SQL and noSQL databases, building and integrating APIs at scale

4) Keen interest in the business side of things, and ability to form & voice opinions

5) Strong desire to excel (both in engineering and UX), and maturity to balance it with business & customer requirements

6) Unafraid to take risks & fail

7) Willingness to lead by example (e.g., comfortable coding themselves)

8) Comfort with operating at scale and speed amidst flux

Bonus:

1) Experience building a consumer facing product

2) Experience with a startup or with a travel related product

Candidates with B.Tech from a Premier institute (IIT, BITS, NIT) will be a plus point.
