Job Description

Agency leadership:

- To be a part of the founding and leadership team that launches India’s most brand-focused digital advertising agency - a digital advertising agency that understands advertising and brands as much as digital

- To help develop the philosophy and ethos of the agency

- To be involved in key decisions on business and investment planning

- To identify key areas of expertise, differentiation and recruitment for the agency within web, social media, mobile and content-based platforms and technologies

- Joint responsibility for agency P&L - specific responsibility for deliveries and costs in the digital planning and delivery functions

Pitching for new business:

- Identification of target clients

- Pre-meeting strategy and brainstorming

- Understanding clients requirements and working with the Creative and Client Servicing/ Planning teams to develop a complete plan and pitch presentation

- Translating Creative and Planning thoughts into a complete digital plan across web, social media, mobile and content-based platforms

Account planning:

- Translating Creative and Planning thoughts into a complete digital plan across web, social media, mobile and content-based platforms

- Understanding client’s existing platforms, technology requirements/ constraints and ensuring feasibility as well as debriefing technology teams if required

- Manage entire calendar for online campaigns

- Agency resource on understanding of the latest platforms and best practices in digital marketing. Educate and inspire Account Directors on digital opportunities and best practices for clients

Team building:

- Identifying and building skills for the agency in digital marketing, digital media planning, web development, social media, SEO/ SEM/ GDM, mobile apps and technology, content marketing, etc.

- Identifying skills within digital marketing to build in-house through recruitment and skills to be built through partnership with technology-based developers/ agencies

- Identifying, recruiting and working with employees or partners as identified above to ensure that the agency is at the bleeding edge of digital marketing on all identified aspects

Execution and delivery:

- To build a team that is responsible for the execution of all digital marketing/ advertising campaigns identified above

Involve, brief and oversee internal teams with respect to digital marketing campaigns as below:

- Creative team for conceptualisation of campaigns, development of layouts, images, videos, etc.

- Content teams for editorial creation

- Technical and delivery teams for web development, app development, etc.

- Keep track of various campaigns running simultaneously

- Develop monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting on all digital assets and marketing campaign performances

Required Candidate Profile:

Experience and background:

- 6-12 years of experience in advertising with minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in a leading digital advertising agency or in the digital team of a mainline advertising agency

- Experience in digital media and digital strategy/ account planning, and in delivery/ technology/ production of digital marketing services

- Experience in managing teams for delivery of digital marketing services including teams of content writers, web designers, developers and SEO/SMM/SEM/PPC analysts. Successful track record of delivering digital programs, products and services

- Strong understanding of technology – an Engineering/ technology education will be of added advantage

Knowledge:

- Complete understanding of all digital marketing platforms

- Web development – a clear and thorough understanding of the web and browser platforms

- SEO

- SEM/ GDM - managing and optimizing the complete digital advertising ecosystem

- Social media: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, G+, etc. and their tools and APIs

- YouTube and other content marketing platforms – navigating the entire lifecycle of content marketing including content strategy, building and seeding as well as search optimization, and advertising.

- Mobile - understanding of conceptualizing and delivery of msites, apps, and mobile-specific platforms like Whatsapp

- Account planning in digital media

- Software Programming - how to speak, read and write the lingua franca of technology

- Data & Analytics - management, measurement and manipulation of the data related to digital marketing

- Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
