Head / DGM - Taxation (Direct & Indirect)

- To lead the Tax function of the all the group entities in India and exercise controllership over the compliance, litigation and advisory in the matters related to Direct taxes and In-direct taxes.

- Function as integral member of the organization with full responsibility for tax reporting, compliance, advisory and litigation support in the areas of Corporate Income-tax, Wealth-tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), Service tax, Transfer pricing, Expatriate tax compliance, Withholding tax compliance (TDS), tax on cross border transactions

- Lead the team responsible for managing the Direct tax and Indirect tax compliance, litigation and advisory

- Optimize the resource deployment and maintaining the effectiveness in terms of technical hygiene, timeliness reporting, accuracy and management skill

- Liaise with Company’s tax counterparts both inside and outside India about applicable tax laws, policies, treaties, tax positions, and communicate deal-specific, approved tax strategies to management and commercial teams, ensuring clear and complete understanding of operational requirements for achieving tax-sensitive goals and objectives

- Manage and optimise the organisation’s external tax consultants and vendors in compliance, advisory and litigation related matters

- To develop and maintain rapport with the tax authorities in Direct taxes and in different states in Indirect tax (VAT)

- Responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective control environment within the organization for tax reporting and compliance activities

- Ensuring advisory to Business with technical accuracy and solution approach keeping intact the compliant status

- Ensuring advisory to Finance team about implications under different tax & regulatory laws, regulations, rules and other pronouncements on the business transactions;
