Organization: Rotary India Literacy Mission   Job Title: Head - Corporate Fund Raising  Reports to: CEO  Location: Delhi/Mumbai (1 Position per location)  Introduction:   Rotary is a volunteer organization of 1.5 million business and profession leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace. About 32,000 rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas conduct projects to address today's challenges - including illiteracy, disease, hunger, poverty, lack of clean water and environmental concerns - while encouraging high ethical standards in all vocations.  At the Rotary South Asia Conference on Development and Co-operation held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in September 2011, Rotarians from India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka decided to come together and work for the development of the region in the areas of education, health and hygiene, trade and commerce, youth and sports, empowerment of women, etc.  At the next South Asia Conference held in Kathmandu, Nepal in March 2012, the Rotarians pledged to work together to bring Total Literacy in South Asia by 2017. Thus was born the Rotary South Asia Literacy Mission.  At the South Asia Literacy Summit held in December, 2013, in Delhi, the Rotarians of India adopted the Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) to achieve the goal of total literacy through the T-E-A-C-H program.  To create a formal legal entity that could plan, fund and implement various initiatives in the chosen fields of cooperation like education, health, etc., the Rotary South Asia Society for Development and Co-operation (RSAS) was registered in Mumbai as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1861 on 15th of February of 2014.  This Society has subsequently adopted the Rotary India Literacy Mission, its Committee Structure and the T-E-A-C-H program at the meeting of its Executive Committee held on 19th May 2014.  Rotary International's successful - End Polio- program that resulted in eradication of polio, totally from India and from nearly 99% of the world, has motivated the Rotarians in South Asia to adopt "Rotary's Total Literacy Mission". In India, the Rotary India Literacy Mission wishes to achieve the literacy goals through its T-E-A-C-H program:  T - Teacher Support  E - E-Learning  A - Adult Literacy  C - Child Development  H - Happy Schools  Thus, the "T-E-A-C-H Program" includes five "projects", each with specific focus but inter-linked with the others in objective and content so as to contribute to the program goal of Total Literacy accompanied with improvement in learning outcomes of primary/elementary education and spread of adult literacy in various parts of the country.  For further information, please visit their website on www.rotaryteach.org  Reason for hire:   These are new roles created by the Rotary India Literacy Mission. It seeks experienced professionals to serve as their Head - Corporate Fundraising to be based in their Delhi and Mumbai office respectively.   - This position will provide focus on building partnerships with Corporate, Foundations and HNIs along with donor relationship management.   - H/She will primarily be responsible for mobilizing funds and other resources for the program.   - The incumbents will be providing the mission services (Policy Development, Portfolio management, other technical support) to various Corporates for revenue generation. These are key positions that will support their team members in India in raising resources.   - The role focuses on developing the partnerships and strategic engagement with Corporates in assigned geographies & sectors.   - The incumbents will lead the fundraising initiative to meet organizational targets, strategize corporate fundraising, implement it and build team and organizational capabilities towards desired goals.  Responsibilities & Results:  Corporate Donor Management:  - Develop a comprehensive corporate donor management plan to ensure identification, nurturing and management of potential & current donors for the mission.  Fundraising Plan and Strategy:  - Development and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy and plan from corporate sector. Incorporate apt monitoring, reviewing and tracking methodology within the plan.  Fund raising events:  - Conceptualize, plan and execute effectively the fund raising events engaging the entire staff of the program.  Reporting & Monitoring:  - Regular update, coordination and execution with the development and strategy team at the mission. Weekly / monthly updates on key accounts to the senior management team as agreed upon.  Communications:  - Responsible for development of communication material for external audience of the program including, partners, donors and media. Coordinate with their team abroad to ensure alignment and synergy in execution of collaterals.  Networking and Collaboration:  - Proactively network and collaborate with a range of stakeholders including government, NGO's, Corporates and the communities to synergize broader development efforts, build relevant partnerships and enhance opportunities.  Documentation:  - Develop and lead the process of conceptualizing and writing project proposals / concept notes and following up with the respective corporate.  General:  - Identifying relevant partners from the current universe as well identifying new partners and winning their confidence to be able to work together on new opportunities for program growth and innovation.  Must Have:  - A post graduate, with minimum 8 to 9 years of extensive experience in raising funds from Corporates and Institutions (Trusts and Foundations)  - Hands on experience of the broad selling process to Corporate, high net worth individuals (HNI- s) or Key Accounts would be desirable.  - Proven analytical skills and ability to think strategically in relation to fundraising.  - Demonstrated experience at networking, negotiation and selling skills.   - Someone who takes initiative to follow up as well as create new relationships so as to expand the existing network.  - Strong communications skills including presentation, proposal and report writing. Experience of writing proposals and reports for the specific purpose of fund raising.
