Position: Head of Business Development  Experience: 8+ years  Qualification: MBA from a Top 10 Indian Business School or Top 50 International Business School  Location: Mumbai (Mumbai candidates preferred)  Job Description:  Sales Management:  - Responsible for sales strategies and execution  - Meeting and exceeding set sales targets while adhering to the company's sales rules of engagement  - Developing sales plans with attention to both immediate goals and future goals  - Managing and evaluating the sales team  Direct Sales Responsibilities:  - Establishing contact with CXO level prospects to sell the company’s products and services  - Engaging directly with key accounts  - Preparing and making sales pitches  - Guide the prospect towards closure through demonstrations, trials and building champions within the client organisation  - Understand customer requirements and how the company’s solutions can meet these requirements.  - On closure, hand hold the customer and help the transition to Customer Care team  Proposals, forecast, contracts, market:  - Forecasting on regular basis (monthly & quarterly review towards the executive team)  - Qualify business opportunities thoroughly and manage the pipeline.  - Together with the product management team, work out business cases (projections of income)  - Detect and analyze information regarding the company's customers and its market, in order to improve knowledge of the environment and to apply it in the form of new or modified products and services  - Competitive analysis, communication strategy, etc.  Account Management Responsibilities:  - All existing clients are potentials for repeat and continuous revenue streams; hence these need to be managed for satisfaction and up-sell, cross-sell opportunities.  - There needs to be periodic, relationship continuity engagements with the stakeholders of the client.  Desired candidate profile:  - Overall, 8+ years of enterprise sales experience is essential  - At least 3 years of experience in leading sales for an enterprise software product for a region for a large organisation, or for the company as a whole for a startup  - Marketing experience is desirable (practical knowledge of product marketing, positioning, segmentation, defining value propositions, defining target audiences, identifying consumer needs through research, and leading change)  - Excellent verbal and written communication - ability to write strategic plans, creative briefs and more.  - Ability to gather data from the market and customers to analytically determine business priorities.  - Must be highly self-motivated, proactive and self-sufficient.  - Experience with internet research and email marketing will be an added advantage
