Head - Accounts - CA - Building Material Firm

Looking to hire Head of Accounts for a leading Building material Company, should have good exposure in general accounting, sales accounting & plant accounting, Position is based out of- North India, Exp- 15+ yrs, Qualification-CA, must be from these -industries Building Material, Cement & Paint.

Job Responsibilities

- Plan and control the activities related to Sales Accounts, Plant Accounts, Finalization of Books of Accounts Financial results and their associated activities as per Accounting standards, various statutes and listing agreements.

- Ensure proper Financial & Accounting Systems and Procedures to meet statutory & business requirement. Ensure robust processes and systems for effective management of revenues, costs, assets and liabilities.

- Legal Compliance - Ensure timely finalization of statutory audit, Tax Audit, Cost Audit, VAT audit, advance tax etc.

- Budget, MIS & Costing - Lead and Coordinate the development of Annual plans and budgets for the Unit, identify and review key revenue & cost drivers, sensitivity analysis, EVA, Product costing, Cost review, Trend Analysis, monthly Target review, Daily performance review, profit forecasting etc. Ensure generation of robust, comprehensive and accurate MIS and reporting to all stakeholders on a regular basis for decision making.

- Review of OPEX & CAPEX to ensuring cost control and optimal return on Assets.

- Handling of Excise, Service Tax & Custom matters including assessment, dealing with Govt. officials, attend hearing and settlement of cases.

- Insurance & Risk management- Assessment of coverage, settlement of Claims etc.

- Strengthening of Controls - Finalization and implementation of accounting / internal control policies and procedures.

- Subordinates development- Build & sustain a conducive work culture by effective management of people to improve productivity, growth and motivation levels of employees to institutionalize best organizing practices in the unit.
