Our client is the world's largest advertising media company.  They are seeking a media professional to join as a Group Head in Bangalore.  Reports to : Senior Director  Key Responsibilities (Job Specifications) :  - Role would be client facing with servicing and business development responsibilities  - Arrive at actionable solutions using secondary data analysis (BARC /IRS/TAM/TGI etc) and by drawing upon media planning/research experience. Collating knowledge from different agencies.   - Commissioning primary research as required.   - Create competitive reports/ ad sales dockets / performance dashboards for TV channels, publications, radio stations   - Understand the requirements from the clients and translate into research information areas  - Outline the analysis required to the team & prepare the presentation  - Assist in business development  - Needs to be articulate with Clients and think & speak strategy.  - Exposure to Media is required  Project examples : Market entry strategies for players entering new markets /medium.   - Pricing / rate card development  - Differentiating media brands to advertisers  - Ad sales data support & training  - Business planning inputs : categories/TGs/markets to focus   - Develop market forecasts models / promo / program planning inputs  Critical Competencies / Preferred Skills :  - Media planning / media analytics, data analysis/ visualization, communication skills,media software expertise : BARC, TGI, TAM, RAM, Map, Advantedge, comscore etc.  - Aptitude for numbers, attention to detail, client servicing, abililty to deliver on tight deadlines.   - Good grounding in basic media / MR /statistical concepts  What you will need :  - 5-7 years of media experience with a mix of media planning/buying/research or channel strategy /insights experience  - Sound appreciation for or understanding of consumer research   - Strong functional media knowledge with ability to consider media issues from a media-owner perspective; being updated with broad media trends  - Ability to interact with people from a wide cross-section to get pertinent information
