Gray Matters - Analyst - Data Analytics

Gray Matters is a social enterprise that works in the field of school assessments. We work individual schools as well as enterprises and deliver large scale projects for them. In this regard, Gray Matters is seeking analysts with project delivery experience. The role will involve a sizable amount of data analysis, proficiency in tools like SPSS is a necessity. The role is client facing; the ideal candidate is comfortable making presentations and breaking data down into portions and presenting it in a client-friendly format.

Data Analytics :

- Gray Matters has developed standardized analytical frameworks and systems to analyze the data collected during school assessments. The candidate is responsible for applying these analytical frameworks on individual school data to determine school performance.

- The candidate should further carry out root cause analyses to investigate the performance trends in every school to make data actionable to schools

Skills :

- Ability and willingness to conduct fieldwork for first-hand experience of assessment scenarios.

- Ability to multi-task on field as part of a logistically intensive process of data collection.

- Demonstrated capability of working with individuals and professionals from different segments of society to provide end-to-end customer-driven solutions.

- Demonstrated ability in data analytics. An ability to see through data and analyze it to find conclusions that are not obvious.

- A curiosity to mine data and look beyond basic descriptive analysis like averages, means and medians.

- Demonstrated ability to think critically by looking at numbers, trends and by integrating different data sets to develop insights.

- Demonstrated ability of attention to details and precision of data.

- High level of proficiency in using MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint for analysis and business presentations.

- A good team player who follows a collaborative approach at work and is comfortable working with tight deadlines and multiple priorities

Qualification & Experience :

- Work experience in the education sector or developmental sector is a huge advantage.

- This opportunity is open only for individuals who are living in India and willing to relocate to Hyderabad. Candidates will be required to travel to other locations where Gray Matters has operations, depending on project or client requirements.
