Associate - Liquidity Operations  Your Impact :   - Are you passionate about investment banking, operations, risk management, process improvements and working with global teams within an investment bank  - Are you looking to apply your analytical skills while deepening your understanding of payment workflows and cash management  - Liquidity Operations is seeking for an Associate who wants to use their skills and experience to help deliver on operations agenda which includes people management, risk management, client services and industrialized processes, while challenging themselves to further their career at Goldman Sachs.   Our Impact :   - Operations team of critical thinkers partners with groups in all areas of the firm to perform financial analytics and reporting and data analytics and engineering.   - Our division also provides critical operations design and handles capital markets operations to ensure business flows smoothly across our global offices.   - From day one, team members play a vital role in upholding the three Operations principles of client focus, process innovation, and risk management.  - Liquidity & Collateral Operations (LCO) manages the operational elements for daily funding and liquidity of the firm.   - Oversees the firm's payment strategy, overall cash flows and positions, also performs key functions related to counterparty risk management, client transparency, product and pricing reference data.   Departments in LCO : Liquidity Management i.e. Funding & Cash Management, Treasury Operations and Collateral Management.  - The role of Liquidity Operations is to partner with Corporate Treasury and the Firm's Funding Desks to maintain the daily funding and liquidity of the firm.   - The department is globally functionally aligned into Trade Management, Liquidity Management, and Change Management.   - The Trade Management team provides middle office and post trade date support for the Funding Desks : Short Term Interest Rate (STIR) and Global Liquidity Products (GLP); management of the issuance of unsecured long term and short term debt, and repo client account monitoring.   - The Liquidity Management team interact more closely with Corporate Treasury and functions include projections of cash, inventory, and collateral management.   - The Change Management team, with the Trade Management and Liquidity Management teams, are responsible for design and implementation of new business funding flows.   - Liquidity Operations is also running a multi year program to implement strategic architecture and continued improvements in control, operational efficiency and industrialization.   - Liquidity Operations works closely with all divisions; most specifically with Treasury, FX, MVP, and Technology.  How You Will Fulfill Your Potential :   - The opportunity is for an Associate to join the Liquidity Management team and contribute to the firm managing its daily funding requirements in the core funding functions as outlined below.   - The successful candidate will also be expected to proactively contribute towards continued improvements in control, operational efficiency and industrialization initiatives.  - Securities Funding: Optimizing use of firm inventory for Fixed Income & Equity collateral and funding for firm short cover purposes, including intercompany funding.   - Support for repo and stock loan products traded by Short Term Interest Rate (STIR), Global Liquidity Products (GLP) and Global Securities Services (GSS) desks.  Funding Projections : Partnering with Corporate Treasury, Foreign Exchange Desk, Foreign Exchange Operations, and Treasury Operations to provide real time and next-day currency projections. GCE (Global Core Excess) Management, compiling and reporting on the firm's liquidity buffer.  Funding Efficiency : Control and oversight of the firm's triparty trade allocations and payments to clients. Support of the Corporate Treasury, Global Liquidity Products (GLP) and Short Term Interest Rate (STIR) desks for all aspects of the triparty secured funding business.   This position description is intended to describe the duties most frequently performed by an individual in this position.
