What are we doing :

We are building Gozoomo, a peer-to-peer marketplace for used cars. We offer the average Indian a credible, convenient way to own a car. And without breaking the bank!

As you read this, we are hustling to make used car buying as systematic as ordering a phone off leading eCommerce website.

Why used cars :

Used cars is a $10B market, and will grow ten folds to $100B in the 7-10 year timeframe. Buying a used car makes immense economic sense in a value for money economy like ours. A car is a depreciating asset, often losing ~30% of its value in the first year itself. Why buy a mid segment hatchback for 6L when you can get an almost new premium hatchback/Sedan at 4L-

What is it that we are fixing :

Buying a used car is horribly difficult today. Used cars buying is one experience still untouched by advances in interfaces, devices, networks and technology in general. More than 70% of users who start searching for a used car drop off to buy an expensive, new car.

We are changing all that.

We are making people happy by saving them big bucks. By finding them cars they fall in love with.

Where are we currently :

We are currently present in 5 cities in India and currently do 350+ transactions every month with an average ticket size of 4.1L. We are very well funded by SAIF Partners and DST Global. While we have built a young and aggressive team - our core team is small (30 members), which allows us to offer leadership roles.

The Role :

- In an industry replete with trust and service issues, tight operations hold the key to building the go-to platform for used cars.

- As VP, operations, you will be responsible for building, running and scaling the entire operations vertical.

- You will work directly with the founders in driving the business strategy

Responsibilities :

- Managing all the teams under operations - including inspection, QC, post sales, customer support - ensure KRAs of different teams are defined and streamline day to day operations in line with business requirements

- Optimizing and improving quality, scaling teams and processes as business and markets evolve

- Responsible for setting up any new business operations, geographies as and when needed

- Contribute to organizational and strategic planning processes

Requirements :

- Candidates with strong operations background and experience of 6-8 years in leading Pan India operations for a large, fast paced organization ideally from a technology focused company

- Experience of working in the auto industry, or dealing with auto industry stakeholders for various engagement purpose would be a plus

- Must have experience in managing large teams across the country focusing on efficiency and improvement without compromising on time

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to quickly gain shared vision externally and internally in order to move things forward under extremely stringent deadlines
