Position is for GM-Supply Chain with one of the leading consumer durable industry.  - Management of vendors and sub-vendors  - Decide % sourcing from each vendor, based on inputs from Planning and Vendor Management costing team  - Scout for, recommend preferred vendors and appoint new vendors for new products.  - Recommend discontinuing or adding vendor for existing products   - Follow up with vendor to get requisite documents  - Ensure vendor agreement form is signed on time  - Manage vendor performance  - Communicate capacity need, ensure timely cap expansion  - Assist Planning (here required) in liaising with vendors  - Make regular visits to ensure quality/process adherence; Identify corrective actions  - Audit and rate suppliers  - Appoint sub vendors and also manage sub vendor performance  - Calculate quantity to be sourced, and communicate to vendors  - Agree with planning on quantity requirement at the 1st supply point  - Calculate sourcing allocations to specific vendors, and further communicate it to vendors  Nature of Experience :  - Product and process management (for consumer durables)  - Vendor management- scouting, on-boarding, relationship management.  - In-depth knowledge of raw materials, moulding /design methods, costs involved, quality standards and quality enforcement methods  Essential Qualification : BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical/ Electrical)  Desired Qualification : MBA/ Statistics   Industry Preference : Appliances, White goods  Please note : Candidates with B.tech specialization & from consumer durable are only eligible for this particular job.
