Particulars of the Vacancy

I. Position Level : Mgr. / Sr. Mgr / GM– Projects. Implementation (Contract & Material Management)

II. Number of people required : One

III. Reporting to : Vice President – Project Management

IV. Job Description : The incumbent would primarily be responsible for -

I. Contract Management

- Review of EPC contract and finalizing the same with Contractors

- Coordination on regular basis with EPC Contractor & Sub-contractors

- Overall coordination for award of Non-EPC Packages

- Contract scope Management

- Identify and resolve Terminal points & interface related issues

- Identifying and taking up contractual issues with EPC contractor/concerned parties to ensure timely resolution of disputes/disagreements

- Finalization of Billing Schedules

- Contract Closing

II. Material management

- Managing the Selection/Approval process of Sub-Vendors of EPC

- Finalization of QAP/ITP, in coordination with Engg. consultant

- Review & finalization of manufacturer/sub-contractor's supply schedule

- Regular monitoring of manufacturing progress, expediting and ensuring material availability at site as needed

- Coordination with inspection agency to ensure strict adherence of QAP/ITP

- Material reconciliation & taking necessary action on shortages/discrepancies

Monitoring & coordination for material dispatch and logistics

V. Specific Demands on the job:

- Candidate should have good knowledge on contract management of large thermal power plants.

- Good knowledge about project cycle of thermal power projects.

Academic Qualifications: Post Qualification Experience:

Critical Exposure/Experience:

B.E (Mech)

Location : Mumbai

12 – 17 years in ‘Contract &/or Material management’ of medium / large power projects.

Conversant with thermal power project implementation cycle.
