Consultant - Providing thought leadership and best practices of Master Data Management (MDM) to Genpact's customers. Identify specific capability, practices, tools, and people that the organization would need to develop.  2. Solutioning - Conceptualize and develop relevant MDM solutions for our customers. Envisioning opportunistic areas with our clients by demonstrating relevant and credible MDM solutions. It may also entail performing high-level assessment of customer MDM requirements to support project evaluations with proposed solutions.  3. Pre-Sales - Lead response to technology based RFI/RFP; host client visits and make customer presentations  Why does this job exist:  Genpact has received multiple queries in the area of MDM Implementation and Operations. Right now the capabilities are being built as part of a focused MDM practice. It needs a leader to provide direction with a hands-on approach. Moreover, sales and operations teams need a senior MDM consultant to help them engage with their clients.  How does the role add value:   MDM is upstream to most Enterprise Processes and clients see a lot of value in a structured / defined MDM process  How is this role unique from others:   The person in the role will provide indepth knowledge and industry nuances of MDM in the chosen industry vertical (CGR, BFSI, Pharma/Healthcare)  Who are the key relationships for this role:  The role would be interacting extensively with 3 other roles within the organization:  1. Sales, Account management and Marketing teams - To commercialise products & solutions  2. Solutioning teams & Practice leaders - To jointly create and develop products & solutions   3. Operating Leaders - To consult them on client requirements and helping them respond to RFP/RFI  What are the minimum prior qualifications to be an applicant for this role:  Post Graduate with functional experience in Supply chain, industry operations  Exposure to MDM is a must. Experience in MDM lifecycle from creating a Business use case, MDM assessment/roadmap and Change Management  What are the key initiatives & challenges facing this role in the next six months to three years:   1. To engender MDM related conversations with existing/prospective Genpact customers   2. To create MDM competency and augment existing competency in terms of people, tools, and practices  3. To create a MDM strategy and roadmap with quarterly milestones  Specific competencies (Essential)  - 10-15 yrs of experience with In-depth knowledge of master data management processes in either of the following industries:  Consumer Product Goods and Retail Industry  Pharma, Lifesciences, Healthcare  Banking, Finance, Insurance  - Experience in managing large master data operations, data quality improvements, data integration & migration to support transformation programs  - In-depth knowledge of at least 3 master data domains across Vendor, Material, Customer, Chart of Accounts, Locations with ability to speak in detail on the industry nuances for these domains  - Experience in ensuring that functional master data processes are designed, adhere to standards and are compliant. Continuously identify areas where compliance must be strengthened  - Experience in delivering complex MDM strategy assessments, implementation roadmaps  - Experience in collaborating with other members of the global data and information community to support the MDM strategy and roadmap   - Experience in setting up appropriate master data quality improvement processes  - Exposure to MDM, Data Quality and Data Governance products   - Updated on latest industry trends for master data management and knowledge of how industry leading companies approach MDM  - Good communicator and influencer. Should be able to convey MDM issues/benefits in simple language to senior stakeholders  - Experience of working in multiple countries with exposure to multiple cultures   Specific competencies (Desirable)  - Knowledge of SAP ECC, Oracle EBS, Lawson is preferred  Key Roles and Responsibilities Knowledge, Experience, Education External & internal contacts  Responsible for pre-sales, strategic consulting, solution outline and design for MDM engagements across the globe working with the different practices and industry vertical owners. Candidates should have prior experience in Consulting and pre-sales. The position also works closely with senior executives to set strategic direction for MDM initiatives.  Member of the Genpact Practice Team and will be based out of Gurgaon/Bangalore, India.   The selected candidate should have following expertise:  - Provide pre-sales support for MDM opportunities  - Provide strategic consulting for MDM engagements (like MDM blueprint and roadmap definition etc.)  - Perform solution outline, and responsible for requirement gathering for MDM projects  - Jump-start of the MDM projects   Essential   Post graduate with substantial working experience in MDM in one of the chosen industry verticals(CPGR, BFSI, HLS)  Desirable   MBA - in Supply chain management
