They have significant sales in India and overseas. They have launched a new range of products and are looking for a young, dynamic Procurement Professional to be based in Mumbai, head the function and report to the CEO. Our clients offer excellent salary/perks as per industry norms & commensurate with experience.

The position is expected to close by end-November.

Job Profile : Will lead the Procurement function. Formulate and drive a consistent approach towards all sourcing, purchasing and tendering activities within the business ultimately ensuring that value for money is maximised and cost saving are generated.

- The key measurement of success will be the ability to demonstrate annual cost savings via commercial, negotiation and strategic initiatives.

KRAs :

- Devise and employ effective sourcing strategies

- Identify the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships

- Negotiate with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms

- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services

- Finalize details of orders and deliveries

- Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts

- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

- Collaborate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company

- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and customers.

- Anticipate unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies

- Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements

- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

Candidate Profile :

- Engineers with 10-16 years relevant experience in procurement in pharma, chemicals, paints, plastics, automotive ancillary or other similar organisations.

- Must have team-leading experience. Must be willing to travel when required. Must have proven working experience as a procurement manager and have knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in reading the market. Good in negotiations and networking.

- Good knowledge of suppliers or third party management software. Aptitude in Decision making and working in numbers. Experience in collecting and analyzing Data.
