Role: GM- Legal   Location:Delhi//NCR  Company: One of the global FMCG Co  Job Description:  - Managing Legal & Litigation issues arising on all categories- NPD and IPR related matters for brands  - Ensuring Legal Compliance for the Business supported; Provide Legal Advise by interpreting the applicable laws and supporting business decisions  - Support the formulation of the overall Legal strategy for the business supported  - Provide analysis and advice on legal, policy and compliance issues, integrating legal knowledge with sound business understanding  - Support the business in litigation efforts in support of the company's position (challenging claims and brands and Challenge from Competitors challenging claims, disparagement of company products)  - Conduct or coordinate research on legal issues and laws that will enable the business to operate smoothly in the dynamic environment  - Manage activities of external legal counsel on legal matters before the business   - Draft, develop, prepare and execute contracts and other legal documents  - Support Commercial Procurement to close all contracts/ renewal for the year specifically Expert marketing, media procurement, creative agency, promotional material, POSM, Market research etc.  - Review business, scientific, commercial, and sales/marketing documents/communications and advise on appropriate strategy/language to manage risk, maximizing business benefit  - Participate in or lead special projects furthering development and embedding of best practices or expanded legal knowledge  - Proactively support all activities on Digital and social media (Ensuring compliance with Digital playbook, Ensuring all approvals of content ( contests /promotions/ websites/ customer engagement/ online information tips/offers), Protect against offensive content on Brands on digital media, Support to Digital marketing to counter complaints on social media   - Participate in or lead special projects furthering development and embedding of best practices or expanded legal knowledge  Qualifications:  - 10 - 12 years in this field of practice  - Bachelor of Commerce + Company Secretary + Bachelors of Law (LLB)   - To have the tact and maturity to deal with the senior internal stakeholders and external stakeholders   - Manage sensitivities in the overall political and government processes.   - Apply sound judgment based on past experience in matters pertaining to critical legal decisions that impact the business  - It is required to understand the legal and regulatory requirements of the job, understand and interact with the expectation of external bodies and stakeholders, provide sound legal advice to business to ensure no non-compliance occurs
