About our Client - Our client is an Indian listed Manufacturing giant in the durable goods sector with a strong presence in India as well as Internationally. The company has been recognized for it's drive towards continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction. The company is headquartered in Chennai and are currently looking for the right candidate to lead the costing function.

Job Description - Support Finance Director in compliance of company inventory procedures and costing methodology.

- Support Regional Management in achieving gross margin objectives through value added variances analysis, resolving costing issues and discrepancies.

- Run the month end process for costs and make sure all deadlines are met, while providing analysis of costs against budget and latest forecast.

- To recommend and implement improvements in the costing team performance, while implementing system change to raise costing functional efficiency and capability.

- Being the bridge between plant and Corporate in costing related subject matters

- Responsible for regional level month end costing and inventory reporting

The Successful Candidate - You will be either a Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant with at least 18 years of experience and must be willing to relocate to Chennai with your family. It is important that you are current or have worked in a large organization and it is preferred if you have held the number one costing position. It is also preferred if you are a costing specialist and not generalist. You should be a strong communicator as well as have excellent analytical skills.
