The JD is as mentioned below :

Drafting Contracts :

- Drafting and Vetting of various agreements i.e. MSA's, Franchise Agreement, Leave and License, Indenture of Lease, DoA's, Interconnect Agreements, LOI's, NDA's, Power of Attorney's, Term Sheets and Consultancy Agreements for different departments

- Handling contract drafting, negotiation & litigation (civil, criminal, labour laws)

- Drafting and verifying title deeds and other property documents in English as well as regional language for affiliate / subsidiary companies transactions

Licenses :

- Responsible for registration and obtaining various licenses and permits in relation to operating of stores in co-ordination with regulatory authorities and the operational team of the company

- Guiding, supervising and coordinating for Company related issues in connection with IPR (Trademark, Patents), Compliance, Legal Metrology, FSSAI, Weights & Measures laws

Handling Litigations :

- Assist and work along with Legal Advisors for Drafting and Vetting of Petitions/Suits/Written Statement etc. for the company along with research on relevant exhibits, annexure in case to case basis.

- Monitoring and guiding litigations across the functions

MIS :

- Maintaining updated database and Legal MIS across all India

The candidate should have a sound knowledge about :

- Food Safety and Standard Act and Regulations including Packaging and Labeling Regulations

- Conversant with process for obtaining licenses required for manufacturing and distribution of food products.

- Co-ordinating with regulatory authorities.

- Knowledge about various compliances required under Food Laws and regulations

- Knowledge of Legal Metrology Act and Rules including -Packaged Commodity

- Conversant with laws relating to intellectual property act, obtaining registration of trademarks, maintaining database
