The purpose of the Job:
To assess, measure, monitor, control and report operational risks for the FICC group and evaluate whether the risk management practices are in line with the operational risk strategies and policies of FICC.
Describe the KPIs against each perspective
Key Performance Indicators:
- Business and Financial Management
- Designing and review of Risk and controls self-assessment (RCSA)
- Identify Key Risk Indicators for each function.
- Analyzing identified trends in the key risk indicators reported to Risk Management
- Analysis and reporting of Operational Loss events
- Monitoring the implementation of action plans for deviation and RCSA exception reported
- Monitoring of significant operational risks at entity level
- Conduct of process reviews from risk and process re-engineering perspective for new product launch and existing products
Customer Focus:
- Continuous interactions with central functions and branches to reinforce the objectives of Operational Risk in the strengthening of processes.
People / Team:
- Optimal utilization of available resources to perform the job within the prescribed timeframe.
Process / Quality Improvement
- Ensuring timely completion of Risk & Control Self Assessments and implementation of remediation plan for all deviations/ exception reported
- Propose Risk Mitigation Plans for KRI breaches and operational loss events
- Timely follow-up on action plans and open items from Operational Risk management (ORM) reviews.
- Preparation of reports for Risk Management committee; Executive management team and Audit committee
- Periodical review of Operational Risk Management policies and process notes
- Conduct of thematic reviews to identify design level gaps in processes
- Timely conduct of Operational Risk Management Committee meeting
Self deliverables:

- Collaborate on key takeaways from the ORMC
- Advocating implementation of Operational Risk Management framework

- Should possess sound analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skill

Expertise required/ Domain Knowledge:
- Needs to be process-oriented and have a better understanding of the businesses. Ability to quickly get hold of changes related to laws and regulations pertaining to the financial sector.
- No. of years of relevant experience: 10+ Years
Any specific specialization/education:
Chartered Accountant or Finance professional or post-graduate with exposure to Operational Risk Management and Process re-engineering. Proficiency in technology and information security risk will be an added advantage (CISA certification)
