Associate Project Manager  Description :   Associate Project Managers act as the single point of accountability to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of project phases or assigned projects of limited to moderate scope to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished with high quality, within established time frames and budget, and meet customer and/or business needs. Associate Project managers may implement designs or approaches developed by others.   Responsibilities include :  Project Attributes & Complexity :   Associate Project Managers work on projects that typically have one or a number of the following variables :   - An impact within a single department or small number of departments   - Project budgets typically from zero to $500,000   - Project length of 3-12 months (typically)  - Project teams include matrix full-time employees and external contractors   - Fluid business demands  Project Management & Project Planning :   - Determine the project approach, roles, responsibilities and schedule.   - Prepare project documentation such as Project Charter, Cost/Benefit Analysis, Business Case presentations, etc.  - Manage scope and scope change requests.  - Plan and track schedules and budgets.  - Monitor projects from initiation through delivery and monitor for continuous improvement.  - Develop and manage project governance including sponsor meetings, project team meetings, status reports, etc.  - Project communications - Ensure that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team members.   - Participate in procurement process, including vendor contact negotiations.   - Manage relationships with vendor(s), Franklin Templeton Technologies FTT and business.  - Liaison between vendor(s), FTT, and business.  - Ensure test plans are adequate and successful completion of all testing related tasks.  - Identify and develop contingency plans to mitigate and address risks; Implement change management activities when necessary.  Analysis :  - Interpret the meaning and implications of business requirements data and reports to achieve project goals  - Analyze, interpret, and derive meaning from data on projects and base initiatives using SQL, any BI tools, Excel, Access, etc.  - Participate in the requirements gathering process.  - Analyze current processes and recommend/implement process improvements.  Manage Partnerships :  - Manage relationships with internal business customers  - Explore automation opportunities with key business stakeholders.  - Coordinate work between different teams at different locations.   - Negotiate with stakeholders and sponsors to set expectations and build consensus around project objectives.   Team Leadership :   - Define team member roles and expectations.   - Assign and monitor work of team members and provide timely guidance and feedback.  - Communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders regarding key project objectives and steps and to ensure buy-in.  - Escalate issues to others with more experience and/or authority when necessary  Qualifications :   Ideal candidates will have :  - Bachelor's degree   - Experience identifying, reviewing, writing, and prioritizing business requirements   - Experience successfully managing budget, scope and timeline for projects with multi-month/year time lines   - Experience with managing PeopleSoft Financials projects is desirable  - Experience executing strategic business plans desirable  - Experience with - Agile- methodology desirable  - Exposure to organization change and communication required  - Experience with process improvement desirable  - Project management certification (e.g., PMI, PMP) desirable  We look for :   - Knowledge of Financial applications, systems, functions (and Business Units), service policies and procedures is preferred but not required   Skills And Abilities :   - Microsoft products including MS Project, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint   Problem Solving And Decision Making :   - Ability to recognize and communicate potential issues impacting the project success and/or the organization   - Effectively applies consultation skills to solve problems independently   - Makes decisions with limited impact on own work and possibly the work of others   - Oversees the development of solutions to a variety of business issues and ensures the solutions are consistent with organizational objectives   Physical Requirements :   Ability to hear and speak to employees and outside business associates on the phone and in person. Ability to sit in one place for extended periods of time. Requires regular right and left hand coordination for use of the personal computer. Ability to articulate information to both internal and external partners in a manner that is clear and easily understood. Ability to see letters and numbers on a personal computer screen and on memos, reports, and other documents. Ability to maintain a professional image.   Travel Requirements :   - May be required to travel to Franklin Templeton offices, customer, or vendor locations.
