We look for the curious, the innovative, the can-do people, and offer significant opportunities for growth.  Responsibilities   This is a hands-on role, where you will have the opportunity to build processes and analytical tools from scratch.   - You will be working with the technical and business teams to create analyses, conclusions and presentations that are client-ready, to the appropriate level of granularity.  - You would be translating high level analysis requirements into detailed and auditable code, data, and results. You would also be responsible for organizing and processing diverse data sets.  - You will also anticipate analytical needs for different client projects, and develop tools and processes to handle them. You will develop a quality control process for the entire exercise.   Technology skills:  - Direct experience with open source frameworks for big-data computing including Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Apache Spark (Hadoop stack components in general)  - Intermediate to advanced programming and computation skills, preferably with Python, BASH/shell scripting  - Strong SQL programming skills  - Understanding of traditional DW/BI components (ETL, Staging, DW, BI tools - preferably Pentaho)  - Knowledgeable in Git, JSON/XML, RESTful web services (Google Maps, OSM etc), NoSQL and document type databases  - Contribution to Open Source projects a plus  Process:   - 5+ years proven track record of delivering system applications. These systems should have been shipped or deployed into production and you are familiar with the entire SDLC  - Ability to document processes, architectures, configuration guides, and procedures clearly and accurately  - Ability to analyze project needs and determine data requirements  - Ability to work with a small, agile, high-energy team (and also independently)
