Job Description - Financial modeler role with a leading multinational renewable energy firm

They are into complete management of solar energy facilities: development, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the projects using photovoltaic and thermo solar technologies. Description

Reporting in to the leader of the structured finance team for the region, the candidate will be a part of the Indian unit of the firm, based out of Gurgaon. The primary responsibility of this individual is to manage the entire financial modeling from scratch which would include drafting, supervision, continuous updation, running macros, project modeling, running different scenarios independently among other things. In addition to the same, you will be involved in:

- Economical and Financial evaluation of acquisition opportunities

- Coordination, monitoring and follow up of the due diligence activities required in the financing process of the projects carried out by the Indian unit (including coordination with the other department of the company - such as technical and development departments - involved in the process)

- Revision and support in the negotiation of the terms and conditions of the Project contracts - such as EPC Contract, O&M Contract, Shareholder Agreement

- Providing assistance to the other departments on the main characteristics and conditions to be met by those contracts in order to facilitate the financing of the projects

Profile

You will be an MBA in Finance (or equivalent) with between 5-8 years of work experience in the Project Finance department of a financial entity, renewable energy firm or working as a financial modeler in the consultancy sector. With proficiency in financial modeling & excel, you will have excellent analytical and organization skills. Furthermore, you will have the ability to handle the financial modeling function and be able to run different scenarios independently.
