Financial Controller
Job Description
- Overseeing Finance and Accounts functions.
- Assessing the fund requirement needs of the company, structuring the transaction for fund raising, application to various banks / financial institutions for meeting the fund requirements, documentation of the loan facility, and disbursement of the funds into the Company's account.
- Monitors performance versus budget so as to ensure cost effective implementation of the department plans.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts.
- Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.
- Manage cash flow process including generating cash flow forecast reports.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
- Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
- Ensure all statutory requirements of the organization are met including income tax, sales tax, etc.
Qualification Requirements:
- Chartered accountant, preferably with a CS or an MBA qualification.
- 12 + years of experience in managing investment, funding, hedging and financial planning in a financial institution environment.
- Demonstrated high level of leadership and managerial skills with a minimum of 5 years prior supervisory/management experience.
- Demonstrated extensive background in the financial area including financial analysis, financial reporting
- Strong ability to improve organizational performance by using effective interpersonal skills.
