Financial analyst shall be responsible for Deal sourcing, Profiling, Due-diligence and Monitoring from Entry to Exit.
- This position shall also do a strategic due diligence of four value driver’s viz., Business, Finance, Tax, Legal and Labor.
- Financial Analyst assists Associates, Principals and Senior Principals in evaluating potential companies, conducting analysis, preparing financial models and presenting investment recommendations, writing reports.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Prepare financial models for the purpose of Business Valuation using Discounted Cash Flows, Company Guidelines and Transaction methods including scenario planning, capital budgeting, cost of capital, Financial statement analysis, etc.,
- Perform various underwriting and due diligence functions on possible future acquisitions/dispositions.
- Understand business model of the company and prepare “management reports” with vital company information (key developments and key financial statements)
- Prepare research reports summarize the valuation conclusions, overview of the portfolio company, and a write up about the company.
- Ensure a strong commitment to high-quality writing while working under tight deadlines
- Prepare investment recommendations (in both Power point and Word formats) in order to document deal team findings on key due diligence issues, throughout the investment approval process
- Preparing end to end models and initiation coverage reports
- Pricing (Deal evaluation) – assessing the commercial viability of a deal
- Complete evaluation of underlying portfolio companies held in private equity funds, including review of valuations, operating performance and exit outlook
- Prepare Financial Allocation Models, valuing intangible assets and liabilities acquired in the business combination, using different methods of income, cost and market approach.
- Perform variance analysis with actual results compared to forecasts, growth of sales, operating profit etc.,
- Prepare and review general ledgers, financial statements, footnotes and work papers
- Prepare business analytics which include P&L reports, business trends and business drivers enabling the leaders to make informed decisions.
- Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients
- Understand and master a multitude of financial systems and processes and provide support as needed including standardized reporting and analysis of results across portfolio companies
- Support monthly reporting processes which include operating metrics, variance reporting, cash forecasting, and capital expenditures.
- Create and build financial and operational dashboard reports and other similar tools.
Essential qualification : CA with MBA Finance from top institutes (B.E / B.Tech grads will be preferred) (MBA from IIMs / IITs or top B Schools.
Experience : 6 – 8 years of experience in Investment industry, banking, private equity, consulting etc., of which at least 2-3 years in a Manufacturing / service industry.
