Finance Controller - CA/CPA - FMCG

We have worked with over 450 clients in the e-commerce, education, food processing, consulting, healthcare, social, tech and retail spaces, and work for portfolio companies of Norwest Venture Partners, Warburg Pincus, Startup Village, Mumbai Angels, Seed Fund, Blume Ventures, etc. This role is specifically for the client Yumlane (Food Startup) located in Sakinaka (Mumbai).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance team as per the below mandates:

Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows

Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes

Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet

Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports

Financial modeling and analysis

Cash management and treasury duties

Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained

Overseeing the Payroll process

Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finance

Using a financial control framework, including financial accountabilities and authorities to ensure full financial control

To develop and control a centralized accounting system to ensure that accounts are effectively managed

Act as the main point of contact to external auditors and provide all required information

Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and that group policies are followed

Recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance and financial controls

Draft statutory accounts for the group of companies

The person in this role will report to the Founder & MD.

SKILLS REQUIRED

The candidate should be confident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment

Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach

Good team leader

Computer literate with good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles

Tally ERP, MS Office

Excellent Communication

Analytical skills

Looking out for candidates who have prior experience in financial controller, Leadership skills, MIS skills.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified CA/CPA is mandatory

B.Com/ M.Com

At least 3-4 years of experience in a Consumer Business Organization

or

At least 4 years of experience working for an FMCG company
