Fabric & Trims Buyer - FabAlley - E-commerce - NIFT/NID/Pearl (2-5 yrs)  Position: Fabric and Trims Buyer  Scope of the role :   We are looking for a buyer with strong procurement skills, strategy development, process development and support, in-depth knowledge of the business, understanding of cost structures and strong business acumen to deliver savings and service targets.  What will you do :  - Develop and maintain professional relationships with fiber manufacturers, mills and other business partners; manage a wide array of contacts and help negotiate terms  - Create a sourcing strategy and timeline to ensure fabric delivery for upcoming product offerings/seasons  - Liaise with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders  - Clearly and thoroughly present fabric options (headers, pricing, and lead-time) to Merchant and Design teams  - Ensure fabric quality and test for toxicity for all fabrics prior to bulk order  - Identify new fabrics and vendors  - Generate daily fabric POS  - Responsible for QC for all fabrics and trims  What you will need :   - Graduate or Post graduate in design/merchandising from NIFT, Pearl or a high ranked fashion institute  - Experience - Minimum 2-3 years as a fabrics buyer  - High fashion orientation with strong trend awareness   - Entrepreneurial approach with high self confidence  - Strong process orientation and attention to detail  People we are looking for :  - Passion and commitment (I guess that's a given for working in any start-up)  - Zero hesitation in getting the hands dirty  - Love to work for a fast growing dynamic organization   - Believe that every day should be a new learning experience   - Ambitious self-starter  - Creative with an out-of-the-box mindset  Perks :  - A platform to learn and innovate with highly intellectual people & competitive environment  Compensation : Rewarding salary  Roopali Agarwal
