Global FAAS has set up an accounting support Center of Excellence (CoE) in India, in collaboration with FAAS India and the Global Talent Hub (GTH) in order to leverage the talent in India to enhance our service quality and consistency. This would add scalability to our offerings; supplementing our resource needs and help us increase our margins and win in the market.

FAAS CoE looking for a prospective candidate suitable for the role of a senior manager, to build and grow our Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) team. Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provides advisory services including accounting and regulatory support for accounting change and special matters; accounting processes and controls support (remediation, long-term contract accounting and cost accounting); GAAP conversion and implementation; IPO and other public offering assistance and transaction accounting and financial reporting assistance (purchase price allocation).

The Senior Manager will be responsible for working closely with the FAAS Leadership, Partners, Senior Managers and Managers on client engagements across Americas and EMEIA. He/She will also provide technical support, grow the GTH portfolio and coach GTH Managers.

- The Senior Manager should have extensive experience in Financial Accounting Advisory Services.

- He/She is also expected to display a high level of technical knowledge in US GAAP and/or IFRS.

- While the Senior Manager will be based out of our Gurgaon or Bangalore center, He/She will be required to travel to other countries (medium to long term) to lead client service teams.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage quality of service deliver

- Lead multiple client engagement teams and ensure exceptional quality service

Act as a GTH subject matter resource for one or more FAAS solutions:

- Financial Accounting and Reporting Excellence

- Accounting Processes

- Regulation, Governance and Financing

- Audit remediation and readiness

- Organizing and providing technical training

- Addressing service delivery quality issues if and when they occur

- Manage and develop people

- Conduct FAAS team performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor, and contribute to the team performance

- Identify development opportunities and training needs for high performing managers

- Manage business and clients

- Collaborate with the engagement partner to determine a FAAS strategy that appropriately addresses risk and manages client expectations relating to deliverables

- Actively support the Americas or EMEIA FAAS leadership both in terms of growth as well as quality initiatives

- Enhance relationships with global teams and leverage connections to identify opportunities for work at GTH

Competencies/Skills:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA (US) or ACCA (UK)

- 10-13 years (post qualification) in auditing or finance controllership roles including at least 5 years of Financial Accounting and Advisory experience

- Expert Knowledge of IFRS/US/UK GAAP and International auditing standards

- Expert Knowledge of Indian accounting and auditing standards

- Extensive working experience in relation to the following services/solutions:

- GAAP conversions and implementation of new accounting standards

- Drafting and designing accounting policies

- Technical accounting research and advice

- Consolidation and Compilation support

- Financial statement close process support

- Transaction accounting and reporting - IPOs, Carve Outs, PPA etc.

- Audit remediation and readiness

- Benchmarking services and market analysis

- Advanced data analytics (will be an added advantage)

- Strong management skills to lead teams, delegate appropriately, monitor, review performance and counsel employees

- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills

- Ability and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies

- Industry Sector specialization will be an added advantage

- International work experience will have added advantage
