Professional Experience :   - 2-3 years of work experience, developing risk models (Basel, IFRS9, Business Models) in Retail Banking.  - Detailed sector knowledge of Financial Services industry, especially Retail Banking and Credit Risk.  Domain Experience :   - Good knowledge of modern risk management techniques within Retail Banking, and in the use of risk models within such an environment.  - Experienced in the extraction and manipulation of data to support risk model development, e.g. defining observation periods, outcome periods, choosing a suitable "bad" definition, for scorecard models, and equivalent experience for other modelling approaches  Education :   - A good degree in a numerate subject (e.g. mathematics, statistics, operational research, economics or engineering) from a reputed institute with knowledge of advanced statistical and analytical techniques.   - Post-graduate degree in a quantitative area will be a nice to have.  Tools/Certifications  - Experienced and competent in the use of computer-based software and/or statistical packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, Matlab, C, C++, JAVA, EViews) for developing all types of predictive model suites, including on large datasets or time series of data.  Other Desired Qualities :   - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with experience of tailoring communication for different audiences.   - Some experience in the development of Retail Basel II EL models and comprehensive and broad knowledge of consumer lending products and markets, with particular emphasis on the Basel II Accord and its impact on these products and markets is highly desirable.
