Executive Director/Senior Vice President - Coverage - Investment Bank

A Leading Investment Bank is looking for Coverage banker in its Investment Banking team for the Technology sector.

Designation : Executive Director (ED) - Coverage / Senior Vice President (SVP) - Coverage

Reporting to :

For ED- Coverage reporting will be to Business Head - Coverage

For SVP-Coverage reporting will be either to Business Head - Coverage / ED-Coverage

Job Responsibilities :

- The primary role of the Coverage Banker is new business development and managing existing relationships in Sectors under focus. In addition, the Coverage Banker may also have to manage a few Corporate Group relationships.

- The Coverage Banker has to work towards becoming a 'Trusted Advisor' to his/her clients. The Coverage Banker will have investment banking revenue targets and other qualitative/quantitative goals to achieve.

Job Profile :

Strategic :

- Business development strategies for target sectors / clients, with a focus on ECM products. Also, work alongside other Business Teams (M&A, PE, and Structured Finance) for relevant opportunities in target sectors/ clients. Assessing a deal's desirability both from the Brand and suitability perspective

Origination and P&L responsibility :

- Responsible for revenue generation for business targets for the respective vertical

Industry/Sector :

- know-how Deep understanding of sectors under coverage and building relationships with key players and decision makers in that sector.

Client engagement & relationships :

- Maintaining relationship with clients throughout the transaction and post closure for ensuring future business potential

Execution of transactions :

- Support ECM team during transaction implementation

Ideation & Pitching :

- Ideation of business opportunities, building necessary pitch books and presenting these to clients. Will have to work closely with other teams in the firm.

Regulatory & Compliance :

- Ensuring all regulatory aspects of a transaction have been considered and complied with

Experience :

- Experience of ideation and origination for IT, ITES, E-Commerce, Digital sectors, apart from any other sectors, with good understanding of various equity capital market products and regulatory framework.

- Candidate for ED-Coverage needs to have overall experience of 15 years, of which 3-5 years must be with revenue responsibility.

- Candidate for SVP-Coverage needs to have overall experience of 10 years, of which 1-2 years must be with revenue responsibility.
